Chubb Launch the New Paladin Lone Worker

News / paladin lone worker

More and more, lone workers are finding themselves on the receiving end of verbal and even physical abuse, making their safety particularly important to employers. To help manage this, Chubb have launched an innovative lone worker system called Chubb Paladin, which works on an android mobile phone.

Mobile Device

Chubb’s unique application is uploaded onto your existing hardware therefore negating the need for the lone worker to carry two devices. By using one of two easily accessible buttons, the user can transmit either an emergency or alert message. The handset communicates regularly with a server so commands can be issued and received from an alarm response centre. These commands include auto dial, location alerts, text notifications and silent call, so you can listen in on a Lone Worker during an emergency

Web Server

The Paladin software communicates with a web based application, meaning it does not need anything other than a web browser to operate. For our Chubb Saturn customers, Paladin can be integrated straight into the Saturn call handling software. This software allows you to monitor all of your lone workers at once or split them into working groups, handle emergencies, send notifications to one or any number of mobile devices and track positions using the UK’s most accurate and reliable mapping software from Ordnance Survey. In addition, a variety of other useful information is displayed including current status, battery levels etc so you will know where your lone workers are at all times in addition to handling emergency alerts. A suite of management reports to suit individual requirements is also included. When used in conjunction with an existing alarm monitoring system, Paladin can be a useful add-on which allows you to switch seamlessly between the two applications. Standalone, Paladin uses sound alerts, emails and desktop notifications to alert operators that important events have occurred.

Applications

There are many applications for Paladin, some examples include:

  • Logging of date and times when carers enter and leave a location generating a report for billing purposes.
  • Allowing operators to view where lone workers are and what direction they are travelling. This is of particular benefit for a response team as you are able to allocate the nearest responder to the client.
  • Due to the ease of application onto a mobile phone and the ability to identify their location, this device can be used to support any vulnerable child or personwhen they are out of the home.

Unlike other solutions on the market, Chubb Paladin supplements the functionality of your current mobile phone technology, which ensures the software is perceived as a useful tool rather than a burden.
